Audio Enhancement

All SDPBC media centers and classrooms comprising at least 600 square feet are outfitted with Audio Enhancement amplifiers that greatly enhance the sound quality and reliability of transmission of the teacher's voice. Audio Enhancement systems also allow for amplified audio playback of connected multimedia devices to create equitable learning environments to ensure that every student can hear.

Why use Audio Enhancement?

Learning begins with hearing. The Audio Enhancement microphone distributes the teacher’s natural voice throughout the room, so that every student can hear better. By utilizing the microphone, teachers and students experience many benefits:

  • Teachers have less vocal strain since they no longer need to use their “teacher voice”.

  • Adding sound amplification to classrooms can positively impact learning.

  • Teachers have less need to repeat instructions due to increased student comprehension.

  • Students are more involved and less disruptive, even during group work.
