Annelise BINOIS-ROMAN  DVM, PhD

Annelise BINOIS a an associate professor at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She holds a PhD in Environmental Archaeology awarded by the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2017 entitled  The archaeology of epizootic disease. Identification and diagnosis of mass-mortality events in domesticates from the Neolithic to the XIXth century. This was awarded Mention Très Honorable avec Félicitations du Jury (highest honours) and has received four dissertation prizes.  She also holds a Master’s degree from the Sorbonne in Environmental archaeology (first in her class).  Prior to this she was awarded a Doctorate in Veterinary medicine from National veterinary college of Maisons-Alfort/University ofCréteil Paris 12, Mention Très Bien (highest honours) this includes a one-year specialization in Pathology of Ruminants.

Her groundbreaking research has been published in a range of academic journals from  Veterinary Record to PNAS and combines her interests in history, veterinary science and archaeology.
