Week beginning - Monday 9th March 2026
Take a peek at all the amazing things we've been learning this week!
Year 5 have had a busy and engaging week of learning! We have been using our inquiry and research skills to investigate the impact and scale of different human actions around the world, including air pollution, oil spills and deforestation. In computing, the children have enjoyed coding their own games in Scratch, using if–then commands so that sprites react in different ways when they touch parts of the background. In DT, pupils have been designing their own bird boxes using a set of design criteria and then confidently pitching their ideas to the rest of the class.

This week Oliver has demonstrated excellent communication and self-management skills. He has thought about how he can make telling contributions to his group during design stage of DT.
