My poster is centered around a literature review that I contributed to. My lab focuses on finding the underlying genetic causes of Hirschsprung's disease. Hirschsprung's disease is a multifactorial disease that affects the development of the bowel. Babies that develop Hirschsprung's disease cannot pass stool and require surgery to fix the bowel. Through a literature review, collecting information on mutations associated with the disease, will allow the lab to find the genetic cause of Hirschsprung's.
