At the Deitsch Lab, I investigate malaria parasites and how they evade the human immune system. Under the mentorship of Dr. Kirk Deitsch and the supervision of graduate student Joseph Visone, I am working on a project that involves eliminating a gene from the malaria parasite genome in order to examine how the parasites switch between genes. I will be collecting results for this project over the summer.
