My poster is about the work done at ChenLab. They focus on using water evaporation as an alternative energy source. This has the potential to help with the climate crisis by providing a sustainable way to generate energy. Among the variety of materials that are being researched, I decided to focus on Peptide Crystals and
Bacillus Spores. Both of those materials are water responsive, meaning that they expand and contract based on the humidity of the air around them. ChenLab hopes to develop this response to a larger scale in order create new sources of energy.
