Students found meaningful text online and worked their way through the process of finding poetry within those words. Using Google Slides, they created beautiful visual poetry.
Mrs. Keim and Mrs. Cappellano, 6th Grade ELA Hunger Games Characterization and Settings
Students created descriptive slides for The Hunger Games featuring their favorite characters. Students dressed as the character or created original artwork and paired it with a direct characterization from the text.
Descriptive language creates vivid images in the mind of the reader. Students were directed to find an image that referenced a favorite setting/scene from each part of the The Hunger Games. They then had to add a text box to include the specific chapter the scene/setting was from.
