We provide access to a wide range of resources in an inclusive, welcoming environment that supports learning and teaching. The promotion of reading for enjoyment, lifelong learning and information literacy skills are at the core of all activity in the library. The library operates as an integral part of the school and reflects the policies adopted by the school and West Dunbartonshire Council.

West Dunbartonshire Libraries Public Consultation 2025
To ensure library services continue to meet the evolving needs of local communities, we are seeking your feedback into how libraries are used, any barriers to access, and which services and resources are most valued.
This feedback will be used to shape delivery, ensuring that library provision remains inclusive, sustainable, and aligned with community priorities.
The survey will take up to 15 minutes to complete depending on the detail you provide in your response.
The survey will remain open until midnight 25th January 2026.
Library News
West Dunbartonshire Libraries have created a new graphic novel as part of Our Freedom: Then and Now—a nationwide programme marking 80 years since the end of World War II.
Working alongside West Dunbartonshire Arts & Heritage, the team invited comic author and community storyteller Paul Bristow to collaborate with a number of local groups, residents and pupils to tell their story of Clydebank and their experience of the end of World War II, and what freedom means to them, all collated together into the graphic novel, Our Freedom: Then and Now –Stories from Clydebank.
S1 & S2 pupils from St Peter the Apostle High School were among those selected to take part and pupils explored what freedom meant to them.
We gathered stories, reflections and feelings about freedom in both the past and present. This innovative and exciting Graphic Novel is the product of months of shared thoughts and experiences and about what freedom means to our pupils and to the people of Clydebank. It was a deeply moving and reflective project.
The book was launched at a special event at Clydebank Town Hall on Friday 28th November 2025.
