SEPO is a non-profit organization dedicated to sustainability, education, and progress in western Zambia and northeastern Wisconsin. Guided by anti-colonial and anti-racist principles and strategies, SEPO identifies local needs, harnesses community strengths, develops global partnerships, and builds more sustainable futures.
The word SEPO has multiple meanings.
As an acronym, SEPO stands for Sustainability, Education, & Progress As ONE.
In the Lozi language of western Zambia, SEPO translates as HOPE.
YMCA OSHKOSH

DISTRICT UNITED
District United is a youth soccer club committed to uniting students from diverse backgrounds through the universal game of soccer. By fostering teamwork, discipline, and mutual respect through structured drills, competitive play, and shared experiences, we strive to develop both athletic skills and meaningful connections. Our mission is to create an inclusive environment where young athletes grow as players, teammates, and individuals.
GATORADE
Gatorade’s mission is to fuel athletic performance through science-backed hydration and nutrition, helping athletes of all levels perform at their best. Through its Fuel Tomorrow platform, Gatorade brings this mission to life by investing in equity, access, and community-based sports programs that remove barriers and keep young people engaged in athletics. As part of PepsiCo’s broader pep+ vision, Gatorade is committed to creating positive, lasting impact by empowering communities and unlocking the life-changing power of sport for everyone.
EVERY CHILD IS A SWIMMER
International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF), an organization dedicated to the belief that swimming is an essential life skill and that every child deserves access to swim education. Through its Every Child a Swimmer initiative, ISHOF supports in-need communities by providing financial resources for swim lessons, advocating for water-safety legislation, and raising awareness to prevent drowning. Together, we share a vision of a safer world—one where every child has the opportunity to learn to swim, build confidence in the water, and stay safe for life.
YOGA ACTIVIST
Yoga Activist is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to trauma-sensitive, inclusive yoga for communities with limited or no access to wellness resources. Through by-donation trainings, free outreach guides, and mat donations, Yoga Activist equips qualified yoga instructors and partners with social service organizations to bring yoga to youth, trauma survivors, individuals experiencing homelessness, incarcerated populations, and those facing mental health or substance-use challenges. Their work centers yoga as a powerful tool for healing, empowerment, and community well-being.
MC UNITED

MC United Soccer Club (MCU) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of approximately 20 competitive youth soccer teams (ages 8–18) and the Firecrackers Youth Academy (grades K–2), serving more than 500 young athletes each year. MCU players come from across the region, including the Wausau, D.C. Everest, Medford, Antigo, Colby, Marathon, Edgar, Merrill, Tomahawk, Rhinelander, and Mosinee school districts. Provide scholarships for local youth soccer players, covering up to 100% of registration fees and uniforms so families with financial need can fully participate.
Offset costs for all families, recognizing that club sports can be a financial challenge even for those who don’t qualify for free or reduced lunch programs. We strive to ensure that no child is unable to play due to cost. MCU’s programs offer exceptional value.
TRI COUNTY DENTAL

Tri-County Community Dental Clinic is a volunteer-based nonprofit serving Calumet, Outagamie, and Winnebago counties by providing quality, compassionate oral health care to individuals and families who face financial and access barriers. Founded in 2002 by local dentists and community leaders, Tri-County Dental has served nearly 50,000 patients and continues to expand access through its mobile dental clinic, which partners with schools and community organizations to bring preventive and restorative care directly to children. Their mission centers on removing barriers—especially cost and transportation—so every child and family can receive the dental care they need to stay healthy, confident, and thriving.
SALVATION ARMY

The Salvation Army is a global Christian organization dedicated to serving individuals and families in need through a wide range of social services. Founded in 1865, it operates in over 130 countries, providing food, shelter, disaster relief, addiction recovery, and support for the homeless, elderly, and at-risk youth. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Oshkosh, an accredited non-profit organization, is dedicated to providing education, advocacy, and support for individuals and families affected by mental illness. Partnering with local crisis services, law enforcement, social service agencies, and a wide range of community groups, NAMI Oshkosh works collaboratively to strengthen mental health support in the community. Founded in Wisconsin, NAMI has grown into a national organization with state and local affiliates across the country, and NAMI Oshkosh is proud to be one of the first affiliates, serving the community since 1979.

OSHKOSH RECREATION DEPT (ORD)

The Oshkosh Recreation Department was established in 1916 after a recreation tax allowed school buildings and grounds to be used for educational and recreational activities. That summer, six playgrounds served over 46,000 attendees in just six weeks at a cost of only $1,000. In his 1919 report, founding director A.S. Hotchkiss emphasized the need for fair wages to attract quality recreation leaders—a principle still relevant today. Now serving a population of over 70,000, the Oshkosh Area School District covers 102 square miles with an operating budget of $1.7 million, supporting 14 elementary schools, five middle schools, two high schools, and multiple facilities. Though much has changed, the department remains committed to its original mission: providing meaningful, organized recreation that enriches the community.
CHERITH INTERNATIONAL

Cherith International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Wisconsin, founded in 2006 by Harry and Jenny van Burik. Its mission is to serve vulnerable and underprivileged communities, support those who serve, and help build sustainable futures—regardless of religion, ethnicity, or gender. The organization works closely with Cherith Asia in Sri Lanka and collaborates with Cherith Europe to provide funding, management, and volunteer support. Cherith focuses on caring for orphans, serving those in need, supporting children’s futures, and offering services like short-term volunteer teams and architectural support for partner organizations.
DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES (DCF)

The Wisconsin Department of Children and Families (DCF) oversees programs that support children and families, including child protection, foster care, adoption, child care licensing, abuse and neglect investigations, juvenile justice services, and public assistance programs such as Wisconsin Works (W-2), Wisconsin Shares, YoungStar, and child support enforcement. Guided by the vision that all children are safe and loved members of thriving families and communities, DCF prioritizes expanding access to quality early care and education, strengthening child support and employment programs, transforming child welfare and youth justice to keep children in their homes and communities, supporting vulnerable and underserved youth, and fostering a workplace where staff feel valued and connected to its mission.
COMMUNITY BIKE PROGRAM

A community bike shop, also called a bike workshop or co-op, is a non-profit organization that provides affordable access to tools, parts, and repair guidance while promoting bicycle education. Serving as community hubs, these shops help individuals—especially those in low-income communities—learn to maintain their own bikes, donate unwanted bicycles for reuse, and purchase refurbished bikes at low cost.
JAKE'S NETWORK of HOPE

We envision a world where every individual feels worthy, and to support this vision we distribute hygiene products and essential daily living items to people of all ages. Through a strong network of partners, we address basic, emotional, social, and educational needs, giving every person the opportunity to live healthy, feel safe, and experience self-worth so that individuals and communities can thrive. Our programs alleviate financial burdens while preserving dignity, with a focus on hygiene support as well as diverse assistance ranging from home goods to school supplies and toys. Operating with a partnership model, we collaborate with 501(c)(3), school-based, and faith-based organizations, allowing them to redirect time and resources toward their own programs while still meeting community needs. For individuals not located near one of our partners, we also offer cloth diaper loans to ensure essential support is accessible.
