Marking Period 1
Grade- 70%
Rotational Symmetry ECR This Assignment could have been improved, information was not entirely correct as the second question had multiple errors on the amount of sides i counted to see how many rotational symmetry it was supposed to have, also reading back to the writing i wrote it doesn't make sense to me i should have clarify more on my claim and my explanation or example. My errors could have been prevented if I looked at my answers before handing it in, making sure that what I said was correct information and was understood by myself and anyone.
Grade- 84%
This Assignment was something I'm proud of a bit. I deeply understood what to do in this math problem. We had to explain how to get from one end by using the coordinates of the image and pre-image, including the rules of the rotation, translation and reflection. Although there was some minor incorrect information on the rules that I wrote down including the explanation that the teacher didn't understand at one point, overall it was simple mistakes that would help me on what i need to do better next time.
SECOND MARKING PERIOD
Authentic Assessment-Distance Formula
Grade- 100%
This Authentic Assessment is one of the things I am proud of in Marking period 2. In this assignment we had to use, Distance Formula to observe if the two sides of the triangle are equal. The first question I use, is the formula and to make sure that each side would be exactly the same, I plug each answer in the formula to see which one has the same sides to each other. The Next question we had to change the point and try to make the triangle have the same side as each other and then find the perimeter of the new triangle. I understand how to do this. I even study during office hours and try to ask as many questions as possible to get a clear vision of what I should be doing.
Time Extended Constructed Response ECR) Task- Find Missing Parts NJSLS: SRT.B
Grade- 59%
This Quiz could have been worked on more. In this assignment we only answer two questions on finding similarity between two Triangles, and finding the length of the scale factor of the dilation. Looking back at this, I still don't understand what I had to do. Dilation might not seem hard but there are different ways we have to look to find the scale factor, and how much it got smaller or larger. If i had to change anything i would have study more and ask questions before the day of the quiz.
THIRD MARKING PERIOD
I am proud of my performance on the Trigonometry test. Our task was to determine the length of each side of a triangle and identify the fastest route to the food court. We had to compare the time it would take to get to the food court from the sports area and the food court entrance versus going from the entrance to the restroom and then to the food court. This was something i understood well, because of the similar assignments that has help my knowledge development in math.
During the Trigonometry test, I was disappointed with the grade that I received. The questions were quite tricky, and I didn't fully understand how to answer them. Although I didn't receive the best grade, I am grateful that I was able to score above 70%. After the test, we were given a lesson on how to approach each question and were given practice questions to help us improve and to move on to the next lesson..
FOURTH MARKING PERIOD
Area test 6/5
GRADE- 75%
I have been tasked with finding the total area and perimeter of the swan using the Pythagorean Theorem and trigonometric ratios to determine the total area. This assignment is meant to test our knowledge of circles, squares, triangles, and other geometric shapes. Overall, I did a decent job, but there is room for improvement to achieve a more accurate answer, particularly by including the forgotten units and by asking for clarification.
GRADE- 100%
I found this assignment quite easy after learning about inscribed triangles. We were asked for the diameter, the missing side length of a triangle, and the angle. For question 1, I first calculated the angle of the triangle. Since it goes through the center, the arc of the circle would be 180 degrees. I then divided this angle by 2 to find the angle within the triangle which is 90 degrees. For the second question, I used the Pythagorean Theorem to find the missing length and calculated the diameter by multiplying the given radius by 2. Furthermore this assignment is something i was proud that i completed and understanding.
