What i did well on: In Activity 7, we explored Scientific Notation and significant digits. Scientific Notation is a method of expressing very large or tiny numbers in a more convenient form. At the same time, significant figures are the digits in a number, starting from the leftmost non-zero digit and ending with the rightmost non-zero digit, or the last zero. The objective of this assignment was to answer questions included in the Gizmo. Despite involving lengthy calculations, I thoroughly enjoyed understanding the content and enhancing my grasp of Scientific Notation and significant digits.

Things i need to improve: Activity 3 involved creating an essay based on notes about toxicity, natural and artificial foods, and vitamins. The essay required us to apply what we learned and researched about the current classification, potential biases of the current classification system, and propose a new approach. I believe that my essay could have been improved, but I lacked the time to gather more information. Overall, I found this assignment challenging because I didn't fully grasp what was required and I procrastinated. In the future, I will ensure that I manage my time better and avoid these bad habits.

Things i need to improve: To give a clear understanding of what we are doing, this chemistry assignment is a quiz that reviews density, elements, and techniques for separating chemicals. Although I did fairly well, I can improve this quiz by adding more information. The objective of the question was to explain how to separate the chemicals from each other. I used dirty water as an example for separation and outlined the technique I would use to separate water from bacteria or chemicals. The only thing I failed to mention was how the water would be collected. The quiz was clear and helped me identify areas for improvement.

What i did well at- We received a package containing a lesson that was different for each group. As part of our assignment, my partner and I collaborated to create an anchor chart based on the material we learned. This activity helped us understand certain properties of elements and why some are better conductors or insulators than others. Together, we tackled a question from the package: “How does aluminum foil compare to plastic wrap?” I found its satisfaction in compiling our knowledge into the chart, which aimed to clarify why one material conducts electricity better than the other. In our discussion, we noted that plastic's tightly bound structure makes it an effective insulator because it requires significant energy for the particles to move and vibrate. This low mobility results in plastic's limited ability to conduct electricity. In contrast, aluminum foil, with its different properties, is a better conductor. Overall, this activity was engaging, and with my partner's help, I achieved a good grade that i'm thankful for.
