Marking Period 1
97%
This assignment during marking period 1 is one that I am mostly proud of. In a group of three, we must all gather data to do an experiment that represents how the universe expands. Unfortunately, I had to do this by myself gathering all the materials and writing down all the necessary information, which is why I am proud to get a good grade while also being able to work on it by myself. I used a balloon only blowing a small amount of air, adding 10 stickers with numbers to represent galaxies, then measuring each one from the center and to whatever sticker I chose to be the Milky Way/other galaxies, added more air, and writing down the measurements once again. The overall gist of this was to understand the theory of the universe expanding by making a simple model to have a vision of what it looks like. This assignment was clear on what it wanted me to do and gave us experience for later Lab assignments.

Looking at this assignment it is something that would have been done better and worked on further. This was mainly focused on the attractive and repulsive forces between particles in an atomic nucleus. We use a program called “Atomic Interactions” PhET, which examines the competing forces that result in a chemical bond for a better view to understand and to answer questions that were given. If I had to change my ways to this activity I would have gladly asked for help since I didn't understand any of it, which could have better myself and my grade.
SECOND MARKING PERIOD
Due Feb 8
Grade- 85%
In this assignment, we were all given a task to understand potential Energy/kinetic energy by being asked questions involving what we had to do in the Pre-lab. The assignment is also something I am proud of because of the grade I got on it, along with the fact I understand what I had to do. To reassure my knowledge of the assignment, Potential energy is internal energy stored in a system that has the potential to do work, while Kinetic energy is the energy of motion, observable as the movement of an object or subatomic particle. In the lab, a ball will be dropped onto a floral foam to demonstrate that the potential energy of an object is proportional to its starting height, after reading the instructions we must take a Quiz and answer questions to see if we know what we are doing in this pre-lab. I learned a lot during this assignment despite getting some questions wrong and knowing I can rely on it to help me understand what we are doing in the pre-lab.
Grade- 64%
This assignment is something that I am not proud of because I did not fully comprehend some of the questions I had to answer. The Task was to answer questions about Energy and solving equations which made me fumble on some questions. What I believe I can do better in this assignment is the instructions I struggled with when answering questions and having to guess what equation I had to use for my answer, an answer that I wasn't even sure was right or not. Overall I learned a little about it but should try to study and ask for help if I did not understand it during lessons.
THIRD MARKING PERIOD
In our lab, our teacher gave us some reading material on Elastic and Inelastic Collisions which we needed to review for our assignment. After reading the material, we had to take a quiz to test our understanding of the objective, which was to determine the factors that make something Elastic or Inelastic. Overall, i am proud of getting a good grade on the Quiz, It made me focus on the assignment and improve my comprehension of the topic.
Grade- 90
During the quiz, I realized that I had not prepared well enough. The questions were about equations that we have been learning this semester. I felt ashamed of my performance because I knew that I could have done better if I had studied. While I struggled to answer some of the questions, I understood that I need to take the teacher's guidance seriously and study more diligently to improve my performance in future tests.
Grade- 64
FOURTH MARKING PERIOD
Interference Pre Lab-QUIZ-5/15
GRADE- 72%
This assignment is a part of the lab exercise intended to reinforce our understanding of the concepts involved. The lab provides us with the necessary steps and tools to explore the impact of blocking one of the two paths when a sound wave traverses paths of different lengths. Our main goal is to address questions related to the procedures and key parameters. The main struggle i had was looking for the right answers throughout the reading, I could have improved if i carefully examined the procedures to better understand and answer the questions.
Wave 2 TEST 6/5
GRADE- 85%
The test was on waves, focusing on equations, answering questions and what we've been learning throughout this marking period. A wave is a disturbance in a medium that carries energy without a net movement of any particles, such as water, wind, noise, and other things. I am mostly proud of the grade I received, though I probably could have done better on some questions. I'm glad that I at least have a concept understanding of what we have been learning.
