Marking Period Two

Explanation

• The task was to conduct research on the capstone project topic, asthma. We had to begin the first sections of the literature review for the capstone paper. After gathering research the background information of the paper should be created to give readers a basis to the topic. The first and second section of the literature review also had to be developed and in them the first two research questions are investigated and discussed. 

• What the objective of the assignment was to conduct research in order to develop the first portion of the literature review for the capstone paper. 

• The overall unit involves capstone research and paper development, this assignment works towards the same cause. 

• By completing the assignment I expanded on my knowledge on asthma. I researched common concerns patients with asthma have and learned what types of issues within the community have yet to be addressed. Additionally I learned about the medical devices used today and how they are not equipped to combat the issues within the asthma community. 

Reflection

• The assignment showcases my ability to effectively collaborate with my capstone group members. We each assigned ourselves sections making the work evenly distributed. 

• The course focuses on preparing for our capstone presentation and developing the capstone paper. The assignment contributes to the course's main objective as it involves developing the capstone paper. 

• I appreciated the assignment because it sets the groundwork for our entire capstone project. As we proceed to work on the project it is important to understand basic information about asthma in order to be able to rely that information when we present our project. 

• The assignment connects to the larger world and community in terms of content. Asthma is a very common disease that our peers, community members, and people around the world have. The entire paper relates to asthma particularly issues within the asthma community that have yet to be combated.
