Explanation

• The task was to write a thesis paper on a topic of your choice. Provide a three point thesis statement, evidence, analysis, introduction to topic, body paragraphs, counterclaim, conclusion, proper citations, and proper grammar.

• The objective of this assignment was to learn how to write a thesis paper. Conducting thorough research and finding  evidence to support a three point thesis statement. 

• The overall unit focused on creating three point thesis statements and researching several sources to defend the statements. This practice contributes to the initial steps of creating a full thesis paper. Ultimately this practice will in easily creating thesis statements in the future when writing papers and the senior capstone project paper. 

• After completing this assignment I learned more about my topic of choice, BTS, and how this korean music group has broken barriers to have a global audience, paving the way for other korean music groups to do the same in the  global music industry. Additionally I learned about the importance of creating a clear thesis statement. A clear thesis statement helps guide a paper since there is only one specific claim that needs to be address and it helps readers understand what the entire paper will focus on. 

Reflection

• This assignment showcases my ability to write a clear three point thesis statement. I was able to write a full paper based on the thesis statement and provide multiple pieces of cited evidence to support the thesis. I also established background information in the introduction for readers to fully understand the topic.

• The assignment represents important themes in the course including the importance of researching and finding relevant evidence to support a thesis statement. 

• I appreciated this assignment because we were given the opportunity to choose what we wanted to write the paper on. We were not limited on any topic we simply had be able to create a thesis statement related to the topic. It was fun to write about something I find interesting which made this assignment much easier. 

• The assignment connects to the larger world in terms of the content. BTS is a group that has reached global success, people around the world have stances on the topic. Additionally it is esstiently to know skills like writing a thesis statement. In high school, college, and depending on your career choice you may need to know such skill.

Explanation

• The task was to work as a group and create an annotated bibliography. This includes creating a thesis statement relating to our senior capstone project topic. 

• The objective of the assignment is to create questions on the capstone topic and find primary and secondary sources to answer the questions. As a group we had to investigate the capstone topic, asthma, extensively and begin to understand key issues. 

• The assignment fit into the overall unit since it focuses creating a thesis statement and conducting research on a topic we will have to focus on for the following marking periods. 

• When conducting research for this assignment I learned how to pick the most important pieces of information to answer each question. 

Reflection

• The most challenging part about this assignment was developing research questions and finding useful and informative articles. 

• If I were to improve this assignment I would create new research questions that relate to problems people with asthma have. This could help in developing a product that can address the issues directly. 

• We did not redo this assignment but we only had to fix the citation. There were two links that did not work.
