In this project, we had to  research a specific serial or spree killer, that interested us that most. My partner and I had to complete a profile of this criminal in a research scenario. The  serial killer that interested us into researching more was Richard Ramirez.  We started researching his history, crimes, story of conviction, etc.  This assignment showcases my strengths by demonstrating the way I worked with a partner and my understanding of the criminal mind. 

For this assignment, we had to choice to either work in a group to create a presentation or work individual and write an essay. We had to research about the ethical standards of a forensic scientist by studying the crime drug lab chemists Sonja Farak and Annie Dookhan. In our presentation, we had to highlight the main points of our research, including the ethics of a forensic scientists, what went wrong in each case, and how we can implement policies so that ethical violations won't happen again. I believe we could've done better by explaining and elaborating more on the policies to prevent things like this from happening again. 

In this project, our goals was to make a video in a group that explains and teaches others how to process a crime scene using the Seven S. I got the chance to work with 3 of my peer members, however, there were certain drawbacks to it. For instance, when my group members and I had to discuss the Seven S' crime scene investigation. We first had to brainstorm a crime scene, add our notes to the sign up sheet that was provided. After that, we had to record our video which was a murder investigation. Overall, I really enjoyed doing this project and had the chance to see the creative side of my group members. 

For this assignment, we had to create a lab poster for the experiment we conducted. This lab poster allowed us to familiarize ourselves with the components of a lab report. For the lab we had to observe our own hair and our peers hair. This was a way to look at the characteristics and observe what we see under a microscope. Through completing, this assignment I have learned the microscopic and microscopic characteristics. Finally this assignment challenged because lab reports and posters aren't really something I'm good at, but over time I'll get used to it.
