Marking Period 1:
The objective of this assignment was to see our understanding of the lesson we did that day. We had to sketch the equations given and label the key features. The assignment showcases my strength by demonstrating my skills in this topic.
The task of this assignment was to find the key features by the given equation. Through completing this assignment, I learned how to tell when a function bounces or goes straight up. This assignment challenged me to find the zeros and find the value of f(x). If I had to complete this assignment again, I would improve it by checking my work for the zeros for instance, I put (0,3) instead of (3,0).
Marking Period 2:
Through completing this assignment, I learned that the equations can help us find the factors and other missing variables. I enjoyed this assignment because it was difficult to complete. It challenged me to find the equations remainder or if it didn't have a remainder. If I had to complete this assignment again, I would improve it by rechecking my work and not adding the 8 because it wasn't a solution.
In this assignment, we learned about the factors of the quadratic formula. For instance when there's a (x+a) we have to use that to solve the equation. The answer will give the missing number of the quadratic formula. This determines whether an expression is a factor of a polynomial expression. It helps us find the remainder of the polynomial division. This assignment showcases my strength because it demonstrates my knowledge and understanding of this assignment.
Marking Period 3:
The purpose of this assignment was to demonstrate our understanding of exponents. While taking this test I found certain parts easy to understand and other parts I struggled with. For instance, when the question is asked to graph an equation that was constant, I didn't know how to solve it. Through this unit I've learnt how to solve exponents and how they relate to us in the real world. They help us calculate volume, area, and other measurements.
The task of this assignment was to solve a long difficult problem. We had to show and write down all our steps on the paper. Our goal was for our final answer we had to have each letter one time. I really struggled completing this quiz because I didn't know how to get rid of the a√a.
Marking Period 4:
This assignment was counted as a quiz grade. Overall, we had to demonstrate our understanding of unit we were taught. Rational functions are important for finding the average rate of change of an interval. Another reason for this is also because we could find the volume and surfaces of an area of three dimensional shapes. Through completing this assignment I learned how to find the asymptotes and holes just by using an equation. This quiz was challenging for me because I had to memorize an equation and had to do it precisely or it would ruin the whole answer.
For this authentic assignment I was really proud because I understood which equation to use which was p/q and then found the factors of the x^3 and the last #. I was also proud of this assignment because I was able to understand the information I was taught. I really enjoyed doing it because I knew which equation to use for testing the zeros based on the polynomial.
