Marking Period 1:
This assignment is an example of a lab report we did in class called One Dimensional Motion. The purpose of the lab report was to find and learn about the one-dimensional motion of an object moving at a constant speed. We also had to understand the mathematical equations and represent the displacement and the velocity change over time. The objective was to learn how to calculate the acceleration and velocity from a displacement. This assignment shows my strength because I was able to understand this assignment from others we did.
The objective of this assignment was to complete the table solving the velocity and the average velocity. Some things that were challenging about this assignment was having to solve the velocity and not knowing which equation to use. This assignment represents displacement and velocity, which is an important theme in this course. If I had to complete this assignment again, I would improve it by paying more attention in class and asking questions when I don't understand something.
Marking Period 2:
The objective of this assignment was to find the highest and lowest coefficient of friction in the objects we choose. In order to complete this assignment we had to choose materials to measure the coefficients. Through completing this assignment I learned that when the objects are contacted, the electrons between them can be exchanged. Static friction is when two objects are in contact with each other, but neither is moving relative to one another. This assignment taught me when an object is sticky it would be able to stay on the slope even when the slope is steep like the eraser we tested out. If I had to complete this assignment again, I would improve it by checking my grammar and if I answered all the experimental questions.
The objective of this assignment was to check our understanding of the topic potential energy. To complete this assignment first I had to find the givens and unknowns of the problem. Then, based on the givens and unknowns I determined what equation I had to use. This quiz showcases my strengths of being able to use the steps that we were taught in order to find the equation we had to use. Not only that but, I was really confident on this quiz and this was the only topic I really understood. I really enjoyed doing this quiz because it helped me improve my skills, view different points, and the way it connects to our world.
Marking Period 3:
This assignment was completed as a part of our unit about our knowledge about the kinematics and angular equations. The objective of this assignment was to understand the concept and equations of motion to rotational movement. This was our chances to observe the kinematics of rotational motion and problem solving techniques for rotational kinematics. The assignment connects to the larger world and community because we could use it in engineering and studying the rotational system. Overall, this assignment showcases my strength by demonstarting my skills on this topic.
Through completing this assignment, I learned the connections between the force, mass, and the acceleration. This assignment was a way for me to practice calculating speed of rocket, acceleration, and the final velocity. I enjoyed doing this assignment because it was a way for me to learn about the equation and topic overall. However, this assignment challenged me to find the change of velocity. If I had to complete this assignment again, I would improve it by asking for help whenever I had a question or confusion.
Marking Period 4:
Something I learned throughout this lesson was that universal gravitation is mostly about the universe's gravity. In other words, it tells us that every particle attracts other particles in the universe with a proportional force and product of the mass. Moreover, this quiz assignment was assigned to us to demonstrate our knowledge of universal gravitation. The task of this assignment was to demonstrate our understanding of the concept universal gravitation and the equation Fg=Gm1m2/r^2. The challenging part of this unit for me was knowing which equation to use for certain word problems that were being asked. If I had to complete this again, I would improve it by getting more help and coming to office hours.
For this assignment our teacher assigned us, homework on the lesson we learned that day. Basically, this was to review and help us understand more about the concept of universal gravitation. Overall, completing this assignment was a way to learn more about the universe's gravity. This assignment showcases my strength by demonstrating my understanding of this part of the lesson. I also really enjoyed doing this homework assignment because I understood some parts of the questions being asked. Also, knowing which equations to use based on the problem being asked.
