ENGLISH II

The task of this assignment was to choose a person that has made a change or an impact in 2022-23.  To complete this assignment, first I had to choose a person from the list. Then I had to research about the person I chose which was Ketanji Brown Jackson. And finally, when I was done researching, I went on canva to show a visual representation of my person. If I had to complete this assignment again, I would improve by adding impactful things Brown Jackson did. 

The objective of this assignment was to demonstrate our learning of the big six. This assignment taught me the title, the speaker, the theme, tools, turn, and paraphrase which are the big six. I enjoyed this assignment because when it comes to poems it gives us the thoughts on something and helps us connect with the poem. The assignment connects to the larger world because it allows us to capture the meaning of the poem and analyze them. 

The purpose of the Elevator Notes Mind Map was to write down notes of every chapter of the character that joins Will in the elevator, the conflict, and the characteristics. The assignment was completed as a part of our unit about the decision of Will, if he'll follow the rules or break them. This assignment challenged me to write briefly and important things of the characters that showed up in each chapter. If I had the chance to redo the assignment I would improve it by brainstorming and getting feedback from other people.  

The objective of the Blackout Poem assignment was to learn that there are different types of poems. Through completing this assignment, I learned that this type of poem helps people to better understand the message of the poem. I really enjoyed doing this assignment because I had the chance to draw people's attention into poverty. This assignment showcases my strength because it demonstrates communication throughout the poem. 

The objective of Fahrenheit 451: Write The Next Part assignment was to continue the story by writing what happens after when Montag disuses himself and he hides in the river.  This assignment challenged me to use my creativity and to brainstorm what happens next in the book of Fahrenheit 451. If I had to complete this assignment again, I would improve it by adding more dialogue, tone, use show don't tell, and describing the things the characters did.
