Welcome to OPRF, Class of 2029!
It's so great to welcome you all to OPRF! I hope that this year is full of exciting adventures both in and out of the classroom. Get ready to dive into the world of reading, writing, discussing, thinking, and risk-taking!
This year I'm celebrating my 17th year in the classroom and 8th year at OPRF. Prior to OPRF, I taught at Clemente HS in Humboldt Park, Glenbard North in Carol Stream, and Morton West in Berwyn.
I grew up in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood.
I am the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants.
I earned a bachelor's degree in teaching of English from UIC in 2007 and later earned a master's degree in reading education from Concordia University in 2011.
I'm currently working on earning another master's degree (English Education) from UIC (expected Dec. 2025!!!)
I have a five-year-old who just started kindergarten.
I love to travel! Some places I've visited include Mexico, Puerto Rico, England, Ireland, France, and Japan.
Parent and caregivers! Please feel free to email me at mgodinez@oprfhs.org throughout the year. I'd love to hear from you for any reason you feel is important.
