"Fitting" the Worksheet
A teacher candidate is tasked with planning a series of related lesson plans after meeting with their associate teacher on two occasions. The associate teacher provided the teacher candidate with the curriculum learning expectations, background on the class progress with the curriculum, and some information about the nature of the students in the class. The teacher candidate spends considerable time exploring curriculum related resources in the campus library and finds several worksheets that they feel would be appropriate.
By engaging in the analysis of this Ted-Viv vignette, teacher candidates will:
Identify planning process that support / do not support student learning;
Describe backwards-design planning processes;
Recognize gaps in the lesson planning process specific to student needs and interests;
