Hardware Accessories-Cameras

When taking still images there are a number of accessories that can be used to help make the image better, by either enhancing the image or by helping take the image.

Gorilla Tripod

A Gorilla tripod is used when taking still images to support and stabilize the camera so that a better image is taken, the way a gorilla tripod differs from a normal tripod is that the tripod is more flexible, its legs are designed to bend or wrap which makes the tripod easier to use on uneven surfaces.

Monopod

A Monopod is to used to support the weight of the camera so it is easy to set up. Using a monopod allows the user to carry the camera and move about without having to readjust anything. A monopod differs from a tripod as it only has one leg and doesn't stabilize the image. Monopods are popular for photographers taking images of wildlife and/or sports.

Flash gun

Also known as a speed light flash , An external flash gun attaches to the camera and automatically fires when a picture is taken. However a flash gun can be also be used as an off camera flash, this is where the flash doesn't touch the camera. It's used in this way to add highlights and shadows to a picture.
