It is possible to use online websites like Wordpress or Google Sites to make your own website using ready made templates, however many individuals and organisation like unique websites that meet their needs. To do this you need an understanding of how websites are created using HTML.
Any basic text editor program can be used (Notepad on Windows or TextEdit OSX) however;
At QE2 we use Notepad++ to write our HTML.
On Apple MacOSX we recommend using BBEdit.
You can also practice writing your code in a web browser using either replit.com or trinket.io both allow you to code on smartphones and tablets.
