4.YOU NEED TO CHANGE LEVELS (HONORS OR ADVANCED MOVEMENTS)
1.YOU WANT TO CHANGE TEACHERS

Each year you will be asked to fill out a Google Form with your elective choices. The choices you select are not a guarantee. I will try my best to provide you with your first choice, but again, it may not always be possible due to schedule conflicts. If you play an instrument, or wish to play an instrument, and you were not placed in a music class, please reach out to the PAWS Center and let us know so that we may fix your schedule.
Our AVID Program elective requires an application and interview process. Each year around March, AVID teachers hold informative meetings for parents and students who wish to learn more about the program and how to apply. Once you apply, you are then asked to participate in an interview. Entry into AVID is not a guarantee. If you are selected, you will receive notification of your acceptance. If you have further questions about AVID, reach out to the PAWS Center or Mrs Alvarado for more information.
To be a part of our ASB elective, you will need to apply and must be selected to join. Applications for ASB will usually become available in MAY. If you have further questions about ASB or the application process, please reach out to the ASB elective teacher, Gina Campagna.
UNFORTUNATELY WE CANT CHANGE YOUR LUNCH. LUNCHES ARE ASSIGNED BY GRADE LEVEL.
We can't change schedules for this reason. What we do encourage our students to do is to talk with the teacher to try and come up with a game plan so that you can work out some of those differences. If you feel like you could use some assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Much like in life, we will more than likely be confronted with situations where we need to learn how to work with individuals that may share different beliefs or ways of operating. Let's work together on being more understanding, respectful citizens that are open to working with all individuals.
Honors classes are available to 7th and 8th grade students. When placing a student into honors, we take a look at several factors, including: teacher recommendation, class grades, reading lexile, and SBAC test scores. If you currently are not in an honors class, but would like to be considered for future placement, start a conversation with your teacher about your interest and what you can work on to obtain your goal.
