ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
1st Grade
During the month of October, 1st Grade students explored the moon, stars, sun, and the fascinating patterns they create in the sky. Children learned how the sun rises and sets each day, how the moon changes shape, and how stars twinkle in the night sky. Our young learners were able to recognize patterns, such as the moon's phases and the sun's movement throughout the day. Through hands-on activities and discussions, children developed an understanding of the predictable cycles in the sky and how these patterns affect our daily lives.
1st Grade
Durante o mês de outubro, os alunos do 1st Grade estudaram os fascinantes padrões que a lua, as estrelas e o sol criam no céu. As crianças aprenderam sobre como o sol nasce e se põe a cada dia, como a lua muda de forma e como as estrelas brilham no céu noturno. Nossos jovens aprendizes puderam reconhecer padrões, como as fases da lua e o movimento do sol ao longo do dia. Através de atividades práticas e discussões, as crianças desenvolveram sua compreensão sobre os ciclos previsíveis no céu e como esses padrões afetam nossas vidas diárias.
2nd Grade
Recently, our 2nd Grade children had the chance to visit 4th Grade classes to watch their presentation about the different U.S. regions. Our young learners rotated around each region's table to learn about the vegetation and animal characteristics of each location. The benefits of students teaching younger peers are numerous and impactful, including the creation of a sense of community within the School, promoting empathy and collaboration among students.
2nd Grade
Recentemente, nossas crianças do 2nd Grade visitaram as turmas do 4th Grade para uma aprender mais sobre as diferentes regiões dos EUA. Nossos aprendizes mais novos percorreram os diferentes grupos para aprofundar seu conhecimento sobre a vegetação e os animais característicos de cada região. Os benefícios de experiências como esta são muitos, incluindo a criação de um senso de pertencimento à nossa comunidade escolar, promovendo a empatia e a colaboração entre nossos alunos.
3rd Grade
The benefits of students teaching younger peers are numerous and impactful, fostering a rich learning environment that enhances both academic and social skills. When older students take on the role of mentors, they reinforce their own knowledge and understanding of concepts by explaining them in simpler terms, which deepens their mastery of the subject matter. Recently, our 3rd Grader students took great pride as entomologists in educating our 1st Graders about the fascinating lives of insects and spiders.
3rd Grade
Os benefícios de os alunos ensinarem alunos mais jovens são incontestáveis, uma vez que esta experiência contribui para o desenvolvimento de habilidades tanto acadêmicas como sociais. Quando os alunos mais velhos compartilham o que sabem com crianças menores, eles consolidam seu conhecimento e entendimento profundo dos conceitos ao explicá-los em termos mais simples. Recentemente, nossos alunos do 3rd Grade atuaram como entomólogos, ensinando, com orgulho, os nossos alunos do 1st Grade sobre a fascinante vida dos insetos e das aranhas.
4th Grade
Our young innovators from 4th Grade completed an exciting diorama project that beautifully combined social studies and scientific knowledge. The children had the opportunity to present their creative work to our curious 2nd Graders, sparking interest and inspiring their minds. Through teamwork and creativity, our 4th Graders explored ecosystems, cultures, and historical events, bringing learning to life in a fun and engaging way. This reciprocal teaching model enriches the educational experience for all involved, creating a vibrant and inclusive learning environment.
4th Grade
Nossos jovens inovadores do 4th Grade concluíram um empolgante projeto que combinou conhecimento de social studies e de science. As crianças apresentaram seus criativos dioramas aos nossos curiosos alunos do 2nd Grade, despertando interesses e inspirando suas mentes. Por meio de trabalho em equipe e criatividade, os alunos do 4th Grade exploraram ecossistemas, culturas e eventos históricos, dando vida ao aprendizado de maneira divertida e envolvente. Este formato de ensino recíproco enriquece a experiência de aprendizagem de todos os envolvidos, criando um ambiente escolar vibrante e inclusivo.
