The primary TV source is a coax antenna or an external HDMI device, such as a Roku, Firestick, etc..
In this case the Odessa TV button will bring up the TV's INPUT dialogue.
In this case there is no HDMI input to the Odessa box.
Make sure the TV is powered on.
Hold LEFT + ON-OFF until the OK button blinks.
Point the remote at the TV and press TV repeatedly until the input menu pops up, then press STAR to lock in the code.
The Odessa remote will now control VOLUME, POWER, INPUT, and MENU NAVIGATION. If it doesn’t, you may have clicked past the correct code. Repeat the process to try again.
⚠️ If you see unwanted behaviors onscreen when navigating Odessa menu, you need to enable IR conditional mode.
In this scenario, the channels are controlled by the TV's internal tuner.
We do not currently have TV brand channel codes in our onboard code libraries, so in this case the Odessa CH buttons will not work to change the channels on the TV. These will be added ETA Q2 2026.
As a workaround, if the patient has their original TV remote, you can copy the channel codes from the original remote onto the Odessa CH + and CH - buttons using the Learning Method.
⚠️ This step is required for CEC functionality. If this step is not done, the system will not function properly.
From the patient profile in the Odessa dashboard, go to the OdessaConnect tab/ Manage STB/ Edit Settings >>
Check the box Patient TV is CEC enabled.
Uncheck the box Odessa HDMI Input has Device.
Select which HDMI input the Odessa STB is plugged into.
Reboot the STB to apply the changes.
