A third method of programming the Odessa remote is to copy or "learn" commands from the original TV remote into the Odessa remote.
This method is called Learning Method. In this method, you select a target button on the Odessa remote, then press the corresponding source button on the original remote, while pointing the IR transmitter from the original remote at the IR receiver in the Odessa remote (placing the remotes head to head).

On the Odessa remote, hold UP + ON/OFF for five seconds.
Hold the button on the Odessa remote that you wish to copy to.
Point the front of the remotes towards each other at an angle.
Press the button on your other remote repeatedly until your Odessa remote OK light flashes three times.
Test the button on the Odessa remote. If it doesn't work, walk through these steps again.
