Disinfecting an Odessa unit and prepping for reinstallation
This first section is only needed if you connect an Odessa box to a TV and it does NOT end up on the "setup wizard" where you see the 4 steps (pairing remote, connecting to the internet, checking for updates)
Connecting an Odessa box to the Internet
Connect the Odessa box to a TV
Connect it to the internet
Ethernet works best to reduce the time to complete this step
For Wi-Fi, Go to the settings page
With an Odessa remote: press the key sequence UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT
If you are not on the settings screen now, repeat this step
With a keyboard: press F8
Press OK (on the remote) or press enter (on a keyboard) to select Network
Press OK/Enter to select Wi-Fi
Scroll up and down to search for the network you wish to connect to. Select it and enter the password.
If you successfully connected to the internet, a blue light on the front of the Odessa box will light up.
Deactivating the patient profile
Log into app.odessahealth.tv
Click on the "patients" tab
Select the patient profile that is on the Odessa box you are needing to deactivate
Click on the "devices" tab
Click on "Manage STB Box"
Click on "Deactivate TV Box"
The Odessa box should now be back to the "setup wizard" screen. If not, try pressing STAR on the Odessa remote to refresh it.
Wipe down the Odessa box, remote, cables and any third party RPM devices using a disinfectant wipe.
Avoid all open ports when wiping devices down
Place all parts under a UV light for 15 minutes.
Use a UV light with a strength between 2000 and 8000 μW·s/cm2 .
Turn the Odessa box over and place under UV light for an additional 15 minutes.
Place the sanitized equipment into an empty Odessa box for storage.
