The Odessa remote was designed in collaboration with geriatric specialists to be safe and simple for older users. The design accounts for physical and cognitive impairments that commonly occur with aging.
The Odessa remote is used to access and navigate the Odessa Main Menu and system content.
The remote can also be programmed to control the patient's TV and cable or satellite box (if they have one), as well as to control smartTV menus and functions (if they use smartTV).
There are three ways to program the Odessa remote. The "go-to" method that works 90% of the time is called Code Scan Method. Code Scan involves pressing the TV button repeatedly to cycle through discrete code sets until you see a response on the TV.
Select the appropriate scenario below based on the user's primary TV source, and follow the instructions for that scenario.
