Principal's Message
Our staff and students have been enjoying this beautiful, sunny weather! Students are encouraged to wear a hat and sunscreen, and bring a labelled water bottle to school. Please check the weather each morning to ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the conditions outdoors.
We are looking forward to our annual Terry Fox Run (weather permitting) on September 25th. Students in grades 1-6 will be following a route around the school property while our Kindergarten students will be running/walking around their yard. Please ensure to complete the Off-Site Permission Form that was sent home last week and return it to your child’s teacher as soon as possible(due date was today!) Many thanks to Mrs. Darch, Mrs. Flynn, and Ms. Stasie for organizing this year’s Terry Fox Run at Convent Glen.
Please support our student’s fundraising efforts and donate today at: https://schools.terryfox.ca/107165 #terryfoxschoolrun #nomatterwhat @theterryfoxfoundation
Parents/guardians are welcome to come and walk with their child IF they are on our school volunteer list. Please email Mrs. Darch at laura.darch@ocsb.ca if you plan on attending. Note that you must be on the school volunteer list in order to join us for this event. To add your name to the volunteer list you must email the OCSB volunteer coordinator at volunteers@csb.ca to begin the process. A police records check for the vulnerable sector will be needed. The records check is sent directly to the volunteer coordinator and not to the school.
Please ensure that students are dressed for physical activity (running shoes, hat, sunscreen, labelled water bottle) and for the weather.

Clubs are starting at St. Mary!
We are excited to announce the return of our Black Student Association (BSA) at Convent Glen Catholic School. This group is a dedicated and supportive space designed to help our Black students feel safe, celebrated, and empowered within our school community.
The Black Student Association provides an environment that grew from black students wanting to share their experiences, build strong friendships, and celebrate their rich culture and heritage. It is a place where every Black student can feel a strong sense of belonging, which is crucial for their well-being and success.
This initiative is a reflection of our school’s commitment to ensuring that every student has what they need to thrive. Just as we provide resources for students with different learning needs, the BSA offers a community of support for our Black students. We believe that by providing this safe space, we are helping to strengthen our entire school community, fostering a culture where every student is seen, valued, and respected. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this group will have.
