Principal's Message
Happy Halloween!
Staff and students had a great time seeing everyone’s Halloween costumes today, dancing last night at our Convent Glen Halloween Dance and playing BINGO this afternoon! It was a fun couple of days of building community at Convent Glen Catholic School. Thank you very much to our School Council for organizing our Halloween Dance. It was so much fun! Many thanks to all parents who supported our school dance as well.
Thank you to parents/guardians for ensuring that Halloween treats do not come to school as many contain nuts/traces of nuts and their sugar content does not lend to a focused learning environment.
With the weather fluctuating frequently, please ensure that students are dressed appropriately particularly on cold days with jackets, hats and mitts as needed.
We will be commemorating Remembrance Day on Tuesday November 11th at 10:45 am. Parents are welcome to attend. Students who are in Scouts or Girl Guides may choose to wear their uniform to school.
Progress Reports and Parent Educator Conferences
The Initial Communication of Learning for Kindergarten and the Progress Reports (Gr. 1-6) will be available through the Parent Portal after 5:00 pm on Thursday November 13th. Teachers will begin contacting parents over the next 2 week to schedule conferences which will take place between 4:00 and 8:00 pm on Thursday Nov. 20th

Grade 4 Bible Ceremony
When: Tuesday November 25th, 2025
at 1:30 pm (Learning Commons)
Dear Family Members,
Our students are preparing for an important part of their spiritual journey; gaining a closer relationship with Jesus by reading about His life and teachings through the Bible.
An important part of your child’s journey will be the gift of his/her own personal Bible. This special gift, kindly purchased by our Convent Glen Catholic School Council, will be presented to our grade fours at an informal ceremony on Friday October 25th with Father Martin. The ceremony will take place at our school in the Learning Commons at 1:30 p.m. You are invited to attend.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lepindea, Mme. Gauthier and Ms. Horsford
