Clips is a newer app put out by App. It is super simple and easy to use. It is great for any use in the classroom and allows students to record themselves, and add in media files such as video and pictures in that are saved on the iPad.
Clips can be used:
Students recording themselves reading a book to check for accuracy and fluency
Students creating videos about regions or celebrations in Social Studies.
Students creating an advertisement for a part of Alberta or region of the world they are studying.
Students can record themselves in partners explaining a math concept.
Completing a retell.
You can use it to create a video to hook into a lesson i.e. scary Halloween math centers, you next novel study.
Students can create book trailers.
