Unplugged Coding Lessons
Before you start doing coding online with students always try to incorporate coding into your lessons in an "unplugged" format meaning no devices involved. Students might actually start to see the connection between their coding and other learning (math) that they have done. Below are some resources to find appropriately leveled unplugged.
They have teaching guides as well as lesson plans geared towards Canadian students.
Code.org is always a good place for plugged activities. It also has a variety of unplugged lesson plans with the premade resources. It is also the home base of the Hour of Code which is done every December. There are some additional activities for Digital Citizenship.
Everyone Can Code is a resource guide to teaching coding fundamentals to students.
It has a variety of guides and lessons to help students get a broad understanding of coding through different levels of understanding.
