Science

Physical Science is the typical 9th grade science course. Freshman may elect to take Biology as a freshman as long as they meet the recommendations and prerequisites for 9th grade Biology. Students who take Biology as a Freshman should be prepared to take another lab science - Chemistry, Intro to Physics, or AP Physics 1 - as a sophomore.

Most colleges do not consider Ecology or Anatomy & Physiology as lab-based courses. Some 4-year colleges require a minimum number of lab based science courses for admission to particular programs (i.e. nursing). Please check with your specific college to determine admission requirements.
