In complex times, how can we design math experiences that provide access for all students in our classrooms? At the upcoming OAME Leadership session, Dr. Rachel Lambert will share the research that led to UDL Math, a version of UDL that is specifically designed for mathematics classrooms. In this session, we will explore how design and creativity are central to making math classrooms work for students at the margins, particularly students with disabilities and/or multilingual learners.
Join us Tuesday, November 19, 2024 from 7:00 - 8:30pm for this engaging virtual webinar. Cost is just $25 for OAME members, or $40 for non-members.

If you are new to OAME/AOEM, did you know you have access to over 60 years of Ontario teacher thinking? Look for new issues of the Gazette in September, December, March, and June (members only area). Find innovative ideas to support your classroom teaching and interesting articles from our regular columnists. You can also search titles and authors to find useful nuggets from the last 60 years in the archives. Click here for not only the Current Issue but also the archives!
And don't forget -- you are a writer, too! Think about contributing your article; we have assistance available to get you into print. Email gazette@oame.on.ca to get started.
We hope that as an OAME Member you've had a chance to chat with our AI Agent chatOAME. It's been almost a year since we started our conversations with chatOAME and we've grown a lot since those early days. You can find the link to chatOAME under MEMBER LINKS after you log in.
We do try to keep you up-to-date since AI is a fast-moving target -- we have both a TikTok account https://www.tiktok.com/@oameai and an Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/oame.ai/ where we post regular updates. We also have a (slowly growing) guide to chatOAME at http://bit.ly/chatoameguide and you can always ask us questions or offer suggestions at oame.ai@oame.on.ca .
