Cello Performance
Masters of Music, Class of 2025
1. Are there any specific projects or performances you participated in that you are particularly proud of?
I would say a memorable and proud moment more recently would be the summer of 2023. My quartet, Kompass quartet, completed our residency with the Craftsbury Chamber Players in Vermont. We had so many amazing opportunities to perform with the Bread and Puppet Theater, perform outreach concerts, as well as perform on their main program. It was an extremely rewarding few months, and it was our very first professional residency as a group!
2. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I’m still figuring out exactly what I’d like to do since I’m about to graduate soon! Ideally, I’d love to still be doing a little bit of everything- performing orchestral and chamber music as well as teaching.
3. What advice would you give to other students?
Advice that I would give other students is to try to take as many opportunities as you can while you’re getting started. It never fails to amaze me just how small the music world is, and you never know- sometimes, one connection opens up so many doors for you.
