Percussion Performance
Masters of Music, Class of 2025
1. Are there any specific projects or performances you participated in that you are particularly proud of?
A performance I was in that I’m proud of:
A very difficult question! There have been so many… I feel very proud of my percussion trio’s performance of Dressur by Mauricio Kagel that we just performed on the 2nd. We have rehearsed 4-6 hours every week since the beginning of August, and it felt serendipitous to have our performance be a true representation and culmination of our hard work all term. I feel so fortunate that we will play it again, as part of an entire theatrical Percussion concert at an off-Broadway theater February 11th! Stay tuned for more details!!
2. Where do you see yourself in five years?
In five years, I hope to see myself subbing on Broadway, or perhaps even being the percussion chair holder for show! I hope to be teaching, freelancing, arranging, music directing—everything I’m doing now and more!
3. What advice would you give to other students?
The advice I would give is two fold: work very hard and be seen and noticed as you do the hard work.
