Resources for Teaching

(in person & remote)

Expert Chinese language teachers share their experience with us all! Learn what works and doesn't work in our new world of remote teaching. They discuss their experience teaching remotely, and resources including sample lessons, technologies used, teaching strategies and more.

These resources for remote teaching were developed by students in the NYU M.A. program in Teaching Chinese. Many were developed as part of student teaching experiences which suddenly went to emergency remote teaching in early March as a result of COVID-19.

The New York City Department of Education organized these useful resources for world language teaching during remote learning. There are resources for planning, instruction as well as professional development events and how to stay connected.

The Teaching Technology website introduces several online tools for teaching languages, listing pros and cons of each. Learn about the tools which have been used in the projects shared on these pages. By Yu Bai, George Ji, Ivy Chan, Isabel Zhang, NYU
