Biography
My graduate study at Graduate Institute of Brain and Mind Sciences probes into the brain circuits involved in pain representation and pain relief. My research in Dr. Hau-Jie Yau’s laboratory is mainly combining optogenetic approach with different behavioral paradigms to study the supraspinal circuit mechanisms of chronic pain modulation. With these research experiences, I have developed a strong interest in bridging electrophysiology and behavioral analysis to advance the understanding of modulation of neuronal circuits in brain areas relevant to neurological disorders.
