About Social Studies

Seventh Grade Social Studies is different from any other class you have taken in the past. Our focus this year, will be on Ancient Civilizations. This is often times a brand new topic for seventh grade students and as such, is often exciting and engaging. Throughout the course of year year we will be studying the governments, lifestyles, and contributions of civilizations of the ancient world. We will not only learn about their past but also consider how they have profoundly shaped the course of world history and the world we live in today.

Check out the syllabus below for more information about Social Studies. We will discuss the syllabus together on the first day of school. It will then be sent home for a parent to sign indicating that student and parent have discussed its contents.
