Meet Mrs. Rice

Hello! My name is Mrs. Rice, and I am the Math & Language Arts Teacher for Team Roar! I am so excited to begin my fifth year of teaching at Northwestern Lehigh Middle School! I cannot wait for a great school year!

Fun Facts About Me!

I am from Long Beach Island, New Jersey.
My favorite candy is Josh Early nonpareils, and my favorite food is buffalo chicken pizza.
I love to read and go to the beach.
When I was in 7th grade, my favorite subject was ELA!
I got married on July 5, 2025!
My husband and I love to travel! Last year we went to Greece, and this summer we went to Spain, France, and Italy. Four years ago, I also traveled to Hawaii - that's where that sea turtle picture is from!
When I'm not at school, I love to bake, go on a hike, or play pickleball.
We have a wonderful dog named Molly that we adopted from The Sanctuary at Haafsville.
I earned both my teaching degree and my Master's from East Stroudsburg University!

Flexible Seating in Mrs. Rice's Classroom

Thanks to the NWLEF, I have been able to add many different flexible seating options to my classroom. Flexible seating improves focus, allowing students to feel comfortable and welcomed in the classroom, which can lead to enhanced learning.
