I am from Long Beach Island, New Jersey.
I love to read and go to the beach.
When I was in 7th grade, my favorite subject was ELA!
I got married on July 5, 2025!
My husband and I love to travel! Last year we went to Greece, and this summer we went to Spain, France, and Italy. Four years ago, I also traveled to Hawaii - that's where that sea turtle picture in my header is from!
When I'm not at school, I love to bake (specifically anything with my sourdough starter), go on a hike, or play pickleball.
We have a wonderful dog named Molly that we adopted from The Sanctuary at Haafsville 2 years ago.
I love to go to IronPigs games - especially when they are playing the RailRiders (Go Yankees!). This summer, I went to 4 games!
I earned my teaching degree from East Stroudsburg University, where I also completed my Master's in 2025!

Flexible Seating in Mrs. Rice's Classroom
Thanks to the NWLEF, I have been able to add many different flexible seating options to my classroom. Flexible seating improves focus, allowing students to feel comfortable and welcomed in the classroom, which can lead to enhanced learning.
