Roar

Welcome to Team Roar!

We are thrilled to welcome you to Team Roar for the 2018-2019 school year. Seventh grade is a time for immense growth, both academically and socially, and we could not be more excited to go on this journey together.

Apart from the expected growth in our respective content areas, our team believes that part of the growth that comes with seventh grade needs to come from increased expectations and responsibility we place on our students. Throughout this year, we want our students to become increasing responsible for their own actions, grades, and attitudes. Students must take responsibility for writing down their homework in their assignment books, staying up to date on due dates, and seeking out their teachers to ask any questions or express any concerns they may have. One of the best ways to take responsibility for their academic success is to monitor grades using the Parent Portal. We try to get grades updated in a timely manner and encourage parents and students to check grades frequently. If there is ever a question about a grade, students are always welcome to talk to us before or after class so we can look at it together. Parents and students are welcome to send emails as well.

We want students to become more conscious and take ownership of their actions as well as their attitudes. We know that seventh graders enjoy their time spent with friends and want this to be a positive experience. If students take the time to think about what they say and do, always be kind to one another, and be accepting of each other's differences, this will be a fantastic year!

We look forward to getting to know each of you more this school year!
