Nueva upper school cross country is open to all students in grades 9-12. The cross country team has asserted itself as one of the premier small school programs on both the local and state level, having won four consecutive girls and boys PSAL league championships, the girls CCS Championship twice, and have qualified both the girls and boys teams to the State Championships each of the last four seasons.

Cross country preseason/summer training begins in June, and culminates with the team's annual Mammoth Lakes running camp at the end of July. Official team practices are scheduled to begin August 10th, with the season concluding at the State Championships Thanksgiving weekend.
