Lecture Recording with SnagIt (Windows)

Download snagit.exe after purchasing or from https://www.techsmith.com/download/oldversions.
Once the file has downloaded, double-click the snagit.exe file to begin installing Snagit and follow the instructions.
Select the I accept the License Terms (B) checkbox and click Install (C). Or, click Options (D) to customize the settings.

How to Capture Video on PC

In the Capture window, select the Video tab and choose audio and webcam video capture settings.
Click the Capture button.
Select an area to record (Click F to capture Fullscreen).
The Video Recording toolbar appears. Click the record button to begin.
When you’re done recording, click the stop button.
The video opens in the Snagit Editor. Use the video controls to preview the video.
When you have your video ready to share, use the Share menu to save the video or send it to the web.

How to Customize sharing options on PC

For Google Drive:

Select Share > Google Drive dropdown > Account.
The Connect with Google Drive dialog appears. Enter your email and password and click Sign in. Click Allow and Close the Google Drive Account window.
Select Share > Google Drive dropdown > Options. Select the folder to upload the capture to, unselect the " Always ask me for name and folder location" and click OK.

2. In Snagit Editor toolbar, click More and select Customize Toolbar.

3. Drag your favorite sharing destination to the toolbar.

How to share a link to your videos in the Google Drive

In Google Drive:

Navigate to the MyNSM website at https://mynsm.uh.edu/ and use your Cougarnet credentials to sign in to your MyNSM account.
Click on your Google Drive icon.
Find the folder or file you want to share
At the top right, click Get shareable link.
Next to "Anyone with the link," click the Down arrow .
- Learn more about how others view, comment, or edit files.
Copy and paste the link in an email or any place you want to share it.

In One Drive:

By default, people who can edit your shared files can: Share the file with others, add or remove specific people, copy, print, or download the file.

To prevent viewers from downloading your file:

Click Share or Share .
In the bottom right, click Advanced.
Check the box next to "Disable options to download, print, and copy for commenters and viewers."
Click Save changes.
Click Done.
