Canvas is the exclusive LMS (Learning Management System) for the UH main campus.
Through your Faculty center, you can Upload Grades to the Faculty Center (from a spreadsheet), Import Grades to the Faculty Center (from Canvas), View Class Rosters, and send email notifications to students. You can post your CV in your Faculty Center. Canvas is where your students access your course online and do activities such as submit assignments, take quizzes and exams, and participate in discussions. Students can also view course content that you upload for them to access, including the class syllabus, view individual assignment/course activity grades, and email you through the course messages tool. Please note that your syllabus is required to be posted on Simple Syllabus and your Canvas course shell.
The New Quizzes feature is available in Canvas but disabled by default. Learn more about New Quizzes.
Follow the steps below to enable New Quizzes in Canvas:
Select Settings at the bottom of the course navigation menu.
Next to the New Quizzes feature, select the State icon (Disabled shows as a red X), then set it to Enabled.
The State icon will change to a green check.
