Regrading a quiz in a course

What options can I use to regrade a quiz in a course? Below are some scenarios and how to address them:

If you accidentally published a quiz that needs to be corrected:

In Classic Quizzes,  you can regrade Multiple Choice, True/False, and Multiple Answers questions by editing the quiz and selecting one of the regrade options1. However, this does not work for questions that are linked to a question bank2. you can use Quiz Regrade to edit existing quiz questions and tell Canvas to recalculate student grades. 

Regrading a quiz in Canvas can be useful if you need to correct a mistake in a quiz question or change the correct answer. However, regrading a quiz depends on the type of quiz and the type of question you want to regrade. Here are some general guidelines:

• If you are using Classic Quizzes, you can regrade Multiple Choice, True/False, and Multiple Answers questions by editing the quiz and selecting one of the regrade options1. However, this does not work for questions that are linked to a question bank2.

• If you are using New Quizzes, you can regrade any question type by opening the Gradebook, selecting SpeedGrader, and clicking on the Regrade button for the question you want to regrade3. However, this has to be done for each student’s submission individually. Alternatively, you can use the Moderate tab in the quiz and update the scores for each student4.

• If you want to regrade a question that is not supported by the regrade feature, or if you want to add or remove a question, you can moderate the quiz and let the students retake the quiz with the updated version1
