Blackboard FAQ
What is the difference between my Faculty Center and Blackboard?
Through your Faculty center, you can submit final grades, view your class roster, and email students. You should post your syllabus and CV in your Faculty Center. Blackboard is where your students access your course online and do activities such as submit assignments, take quizzes and exam, and participate in discussions. Students can also view course content that you upload for them to access, including the class syllabus, view individual assignment/course activity grades, and email you through the course messages tool. Please note your syllabus is required to be posted on both your Faculty Center and in your Blackboard course shell.
How do I see the groups that students have been assigned to on Blackboard?
Follow the steps below to view group memberships at a Glance:
In the Control Panel, expand the Users and Groups section and select Groups.
You will now be taken to the the list of Course Groups. In the upper right hand corner, click on the link labeled All Users.
You will now be taken to the All Users screen. The groups that each student is enrolled in will appear on the right, under the column labeled Groups. You can add a student to a group, by hovering over the student, and clicking the Add to Group link that appears. To remove a student from a group, click the X icon that appears next to the group the student belongs to. Visit the Viewing Group Memberships at a Glance tutorial for more information.
