Canvas is the exclusive LMS (Learning Management System) for the UH main campus.
Option 1:
If you have a Windows PC, you could use the Respondus application to print the test to an MS document. Please follow the steps below:
Option 2:
Since Respondus is for Windows only, the following tutorial shows an alternative that also works for macOS users:
Use either Safari or Chrome browser to print a test with multiple pages. Firefox print option does not work using these instructions.
Go to your Canvas course.
In the Quizzes section, locate the test/quiz you want to print.
Select Preview Mode. This opens the test in the "student view" with the questions and answer entry area listed.
In the browser options, locate the print option (File > Print)
Using the browser's print options, you can either print directly to a printer or save the print output as a PDF.
Note:
If the test is set to open one question at a time, then the print option will only print the one question. To print the entire test, set the test options to show the entire test by ensuring the "Show one question at a time" option is not selected, then print the test. You can reset the test options to how you want the students to see the test.
New Quizzes allows printing quiz questions and quiz questions with the answer key. New Quizzes can be printed to a printer or a Word document. You could convert your Classic Quiz to a New Quiz to print the quiz. For more information about converting a Classic Quiz to a New Quiz, see this Canvas Guide. How do I migrate a Canvas quiz to New Quizzes?
See this Canvas guide for how to print a New Quizzes quiz (exam) with questions and possible answers that are used by a student. How to print a new quizzes with questions and answers.
Contact the CASA managers (either Minh Nguyen or Samantha Stark) and provide them with information about the test: instructor and course information, testing dates or range of dates, number of students information, other special instructions.
The CASA managers will indicate the availability of their testing locations and will provide you with the IP address or IP addresses information to be used in Canvas. If the center is not available during the requested dates, they will try to accommodate you on other available dates.
Once CASA confirms availability for the requested dates, instructors can set up a Canvas test that requires students to use the LockDown Browser. Follow the steps below to make the Respondus LockDown Browser required for a test in Canvas. You can also visit the following page for information: How to Set up an Exam to use Respondus Lockdown Browser
Use the following checklist to ensure the Respondus Lockdown Browser appears as required for a test in Blackboard. Configuration for a Blackboard test in the CASA testing center.
To confirm that an assessment will require students to use Respondus LockDown Browser, open a standard web browser, log into Blackboard using a student account, and attempt to start the assessment. You should be unable to start the assessment if everything is set correctly.

If students are taking a test in the CASA Testing Center:
It is highly recommended that all students register with CASA and schedule for their test in their Courseware account as soon as the online scheduler is available. This will help them avoid the peak time and maximize their chance for getting a reservation.
New students will need to register his/her Photo and FingerPrint prior to check-in the CASA Tutoring Center. This is a ONE TIME process at CASA Testing Center.
