Welcome to the new 2026, but still in Semester 1!
Please take a moment to review the updates below -
January 13th, 2026 - Virtual Day
We'd appreciate your feedback on the set-up of our first synchronous virtual day in awhile. Both students and parents/families can access the short survey HERE.
USS and new locker system (Grades 9-12)
USS students were informed on Tuesday, January 13th, of a new locker system. The information shared with them is also shared in continuation below:
Dear Students,
We would like to inform you that during the winter break, we implemented a new locker system in the Upper Secondary building (grades 9-12).
Please note the following important information:
All items left in lockers during the winter break were removed and have been placed in the Lost and Found.
Pick-up times for these items are: Monday through Friday 8:00–8:15 a.m. and 2:30–2:45 p.m., except Wednesdays 2:15–2:30 p.m.
Upon returning from winter break, all students will be assigned a new locker based on their grade level and advisory class.
Your Advisory teacher will guide you through this process, as each advisory class has been scheduled a day and time for locker distribution.
Please remember to bring your NOVA ID card, as it will be required to be issued your personal locker. Should you require a new card you can order one on the following LINK.
In cases where a student ID card does not activate a locker, the card will be collected, reprinted, and a new card will be issued to the student by the end of the same day, ensuring no disruption to the process.
Students who don’t get access to their lockers during the first week after the break can do so later with the help of the security guards on any school day during the first 30 minutes after dismissal: Monday through Friday 2:35–3:05 p.m., except Wednesday 2:15–2:45 p.m.
We are excited to introduce this new system, which is designed to simplify and improve locker use across our school community. It will likely take one school week before we are able to issue all students a locker, during which time, we'll be more flexible in regards to students leaving their backpacks and personal belongings around campus.
Thank you for your cooperation. We wish you a successful start to the new year.
Mark your calendars
