The IB MYP e-Assessment is a modern, globally recognized method of evaluating student learning at the end of the Middle Years Programme. It plays a crucial role in providing a fair, consistent, and reliable measure of student achievement across IB schools worldwide.
Through a combination of on-screen exams and coursework tasks, e-Assessments allow students to demonstrate their skills, knowledge, and understanding in a variety of subjects while applying critical thinking and real-world problem-solving — key elements of the IB learner profile.
Standardized and Reliable: Ensures a consistent assessment process for students in different schools and countries.
Skill-Based Assessment: Focuses on deeper understanding, not just memorization.
Preparation for the Future: Encourages digital literacy and readiness for higher education and careers.
Recognition: Offers externally validated results, which can support student applications to academic programs worldwide.
To be eligible and successful in the MYP e-Assessment, students must:
Complete all required coursework and summative assessments throughout the school year.
Participate in on-screen examinations for subjects like Language and Literature, Sciences, Individuals and Societies, and Mathematics.
Submit the Personal Project, which is moderated by the IB.
Demonstrate ATL (Approaches to Learning) skills, which are embedded throughout all MYP learning and are part of assessment criteria.
Follow exam regulations, including academic honesty and proper digital conduct.
