SCHOOL COUNSELING CENTER

The school counselor's position in the school is to serve the student in a helping capacity. Individual counseling and small group discussions will be available to all students when the need is indicated. Conferences with parents may be scheduled by calling the counselor for an appointment. The counselors will visit various classes throughout the year to present occupational and educational information.  All eighth graders will begin their individual career plan, which will then be maintained throughout their high school years.  

Counselor-student assignments are made on an alphabetical basis according to the last name of the student and will remain the same during the student's years at the middle school.  The counselor assignments are as follows:

A -  Kn:   Mrs. Lipscomb                                        

Ko – Z:  Mrs. Dale

SEEING YOUR COUNSELOR

Seeing your counselor: You may stop by the counseling center with a pass to see your counselor. If your counselor is assisting another student or family, please make an appointment to return to the counseling center during a study hall or lunch period. The counseling center secretary can help you schedule an appointment. Your parents may contact your counselor by calling the direct line listed above during the counseling center office hours of 7:35 am to 3:00 pm.
